Wikipedia is losing a lot of its readership, but at the same time, there are many other trends going on. I am using the opportunity that a quickly reverted rollout of a new Feature on Wikipedia, the carousel, gives us an understanding how much of an article people are reading in Wikipedia. 

One question you could ask yourself is how much of an article is someone actually reading when they visit Wikipedia? 

Normally this is really hard to know because Wikipedia is really cautious about privacy. However, thanks to a natural experiment in June we get a little bit of a peek into how many mobile users are actually viewing more than the first screen of an article. 

Normally all images in an article in Wikipedia are loaded onto your computer at the same time.
